At Fattoria Poggio Alloro you have the chance to taste our family recipes, and many local dishes and specialties that belong to the Tuscan culinary tradition. We usually cook with seasonal and organic products that come directly from the farm, all the dishes are always accompanied by the wines that we produce and bottle.
Everyday we serve what we call “light lunch” that usually consists of bruschetta, pasta, fresh green salad, pecorino cheese, prosciutto, salami, red and white wine, and a sweet end with vin santo and cantuccini cookies. For dinner we have a fixed menu that changes day by day and which always includes four courses starting with a large selection of appetizers, pasta or soup, meat with side dishes, dessert, and of course vin santo and cantuccini, coffee, grappa, and limoncello. Needless to say, wines won’t be missing! Some of the main local dishes that could be served for dinner are the Tuscan ribollita soup, fresh homemade pasta, tomato soup with basil called pappa al pomodoro, stewed beef, wild boar, and many other recipes of the Tuscan tradition. The famous Florentine steak is generally served on Saturday nights. We always serve dinners on long tables, so that guests from different countries can all eat together; in summer we set the tables on the veranda with view of San Gimignano, while in winter we use one of the rooms with a fireplace.
We do require a reservation for the restaurant, either for lunch or dinner.
Closed on Tuesday evening, except only in August when we are open every night.
The restaurant is also closed on 24-25-26 December.
